PCL is common for everyday office printing and is often faster. PostScript (PS) can be better for graphics-heavy jobs and exact layout rendering. If you’re unsure, a manufacturer “Universal” driver is a safe starting point.
Yes—universal drivers are great for standard printing and quick deployment. For advanced features (finishers, stapling, secure print, special trays), a model-specific driver may work best.
